Iowa State Fair Parade
Join Kingdom Living as we take part in the annual Iowa State Fair Parade—one of the largest and most exciting celebrations in the state! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community and represent Kingdom Living with pride, energy, and joy.
🕕 Time: Meet at 6:15 PM - No later
📍 Location: Downtown Des Moines LOT 16 (Map)
Please note: This is a required event for all individuals actively participating in the Kingdom Living program.
Whether you're walking in the parade or cheering from the sidelines, we’d love for you to be part of this memorable event. Wear your Kingdom Living gear, bring your smiles, and let's make a powerful impact together!
🌟 Our float will be staged in lot 16. Parking is very limited and the only parking in the staging area is the parade entries so please carpool as much as possible and find off street parking
🌟 bring your water bottles and wear comfy shoes
🌟 the parade route ends at Grand and 13th Street
🌟 throwing/handing candy, beads, literature is NOT ALLOWED. This is strictly enforced by the ISF officials
Kingdom Living Golf Tournament
This is more than just a day on the green—it’s a fun and meaningful way to support the mission of Kingdom Living Iowa. Gather your friends, family, or coworkers for a day of golf, prizes, food, and community impact.
Ways to Get Involved:
Register to Golf (individuals or teams welcome)
Become a Sponsor (great exposure for businesses or individuals)
Donate or Volunteer if you can’t make it out to play
All proceeds go directly toward supporting the life-changing work we’re doing in the community—and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Family Picnic
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT.
Join us for a laid-back, fun-filled Potluck Picnic with something for everyone! We’ll provide sandwiches and water, and we’re asking everyone to bring a dish to share. It’s a great chance to relax, connect, and enjoy the sunshine together. Please note: This is a required event for all individuals actively participating in the Kingdom Living program.
What to Expect:
🏈 A friendly Flag Football Game – bring your game face!
💦 A Splash Pad for the kids (and kids at heart!)
🧺 Plenty of good food and great company
Don’t forget to bring:
A chair or blanket to get comfy

Steps Of Hope Overdose Awareness Walk
Join us for the Steps of Hope Overdose Awareness Walk, a meaningful event dedicated to remembering lives lost to overdose, supporting those who are still struggling, and raising awareness that talking about overdose can save a life.
🕘 Time: 6:00PM
📍 Location: We will gather at the gazebo near the lake, across from the Culinary Institute (Building 7), to walk one loop (1.182 miles) around the pond.
This event is free and open to everyone—no registration required. Whether you're walking in memory, in support, or simply to stand in solidarity, your presence matters.
There will be tables set up with free information, community resources, and Narcan training and distribution available to all attendees. Kingdom Living will also have a table set up.
TOGETHER WE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
